* Click on the version corresponding to your operational system.
Once downloaded, locate the installation file inside your system and run it.
After installed the software, it is necessary to install the “libmp3lame” library in order to be able to broadcast in the MP3 format.
To download the library, visit: https://www.rarewares.org/mp3-lame-libraries.php#libmp3lame
Now, open the newly downloaded file.
Select the DLLs listed within the compressed file and copy them.
Then, paste them into the standard MIXXX installation folder, as shown in the following image:
Step 2 – Configuring MIXXX;
After installing the software and the MP3 library, we go to the settings!
Open MIXXX and click on the top menu, “Options“, then “Preferences“.
In the “Preferences” window, look for the “Sound Hardware” option, where you will configure your audio devices.
In the “Sound API” field, keep the default “Windows DirectSound“.
In the “Output” tab, select the devices that will be responsible for playback, such as Speakers, Headphones, among others.
In the “Input” tab, select input devices, such as your microphone or mixer, for example.
In the “Library” menu on the left, you can select the audio files from your computer.
Click “Add” to list them.
Now, click on “Live Broadcasting“.
In this area we will configure MIXXX with your web radio data.
This data can be obtained from your BRLOGIC ACCOUNT: https://account.brlogic.com/, by clicking on the “Manage my online radio” menu.
Then click on “Online radio“, “Broadcaster passwords” and finally “Broadcast info“.
Done!
Now just fill in the corresponding data in your MIXXX.
Keep the “Login” field blank.
To finish, click “OK“.
Now with MIXXX already practically configured, in the first item, “Tracks“, below the decks, the audio files that you previously selected in “Library” will be presented, within the “Preferences“.
You can select the files you want to play, and then drag them to the “Auto DJ” item to display a playlist for playback.
To start playing the files you must click on “Enable Auto DJ” on the right side:
To perform voice acting, click on “MICS & AUX” at the top.
In the bar that will be displayed below the decks, click on “TALK” to start the voiceover.
Make sure that the configuration of your microphone was performed correctly in the step corresponding to the “Sound Hardware” configuration.
