SAM Broadcaster is one of the best softwares ever created for audio management and allows direct connection to our servers using IceCast technology.
In this tutorial, we’ll see how to live broadcast MP3 or AAC with Sam Broadcaster.
Run SAM Broadcaster on your computer.
After running it, click on the option Desktop “B” on the main screen of the software, as highlighted in the image below:
In the “Encoders” field, click on the “+” option, as shown in the image below:
Select: “MP3 (LAME_ENC)” or “aacPlus v2” and click “OK“:
Now go to your BRLOGIC account: https://account.brlogic.com/ and click on “Manage my online radio“.
After that, click on “Online radio“, “Broadcaster passwords” and “Broadcast info“.
Now fill in all the fields below with the bitrate (quality) of your web radio, mode (stereo or mono) and Sampling Rate, available in the management panel of your radio:
After filling in all the fields on the “Converter” tab, click on the “Server Details” tab:
Fill in with the data available in the management panel of your radio, as shown below:
– Server Type: Select IceCast and IceCast 2;
– Server IP: Enter the address of your streaming;
– Server Port: Enter your streaming port;
– Password: Enter your broadcast password;
– Mount: /live;
In the same tab, fill in the data below:
– Station name: Enter the name of your web radio;
– Station description: Enter the description of your web radio;
– Genre: Enter the genre of your web radio;
– Website URL: Enter the website address of your web radio;
After filling all these data, click “Ok“.
Inside the “Encoders” field, if you are not yet connected, select the connection and click “Start” as highlighted below:
Done!
Now you can broadcast live in MP3 or AAC with Sam Broadcaster to all your listeners!
SAM Broadcaster also allows you to configure audience statistics for your web radio.
Attention: SAM Broadcaster is also compatible with ShoutCast, a technology similar to IceCast2. ShoutCast is a proprietary software, and like IceCast2, it is mainly used for creating internet radios.
